Hello everyone.
I'm trying to re-seal the doors on a '67 IRS car.  I've got 3 sets of seals: the felt part, the rubber part that runs down the door channel and another piece that (I believe) fits to the windshield frame and mates to the open window.

My problem is I can't figure out where one ends and the other begins:

-The rubber part that runs along the vertical part of the door:  what happens when the channel ends on the bottom sil?

-does the felt material run up to the top of the windshield?

-how far down the forward part of the doorframe does the A-pillar seal go?

I sure would be grateful if someone could post of picture of the detail...

Thanks in advance-   Chris

Hi Chris,

You should really only have 2 pieces per door - one "fuzzy" door seal, and one rubber seal. The rubber starts at the door "B" post and runs down the channels welded to the door frame and up the windshield frame. The fuzzy door seal runs on the seam edge of the door frame. This of course is all changed if the rubber seal channels are missing are rusted off!

Hope this helps.
