Hello everyone,

I am working on a 69 Spitfire and I have a question.  I am rebuild my front suspension and hubs and I cannont figure out which direction to install the felt seal.  This seal has felt on one side and plastic one the other. One reference book I have says that the felt should face the verticle link, another says it should face the bearing.  Facing the bearing makes no sense to me.  Does anyone know for sure which way the seal should face?

Thanks,
Matt in Ohio

The seal faces the vertical link!

Thanks,
That is the only way that makes sense to me, either I was misunderstanding my reference book or the book is wrong!

Thanks again!
