I am doing a frame off on a '57 TR3. The car was in very bad shape...looked like a daily driver that had been long neglected. It ran VERY rough at idle. Ispent the last 4 years taking it apart ..cleaning / blasting and restoring with a "cut in half" body. I am putting back together and decided to crack open the engine. I think I found my "VERY rough at idle" problem. It has a KASTNER G3 cam in it. Nothing else to indicate it would have been raced or modified. It has .030 over pistons but they are 83 mm.
Can anyone give me a background on this cam...why it would be in a basic car...what it would be used for...what are the specs...are they quite common...aproximate value if I should sell it. seems to be in excellent condition.
Thanks
