New member here in Illinois. I had a 1969 GT6+ when I was in high school. Never finished restoring it and had to sell it when I moved off to college. 15 years and 3 kids later... I bought another one last night on eBay. Haven't even seen it yet in person. I'll pick it up this weekend. This one I'm going to finish! But I might wait until my kids are old enough to help.

That's me! It's good to be back in the Triumph sub-culture after all these years.

Congratulations, I hope your purchase doesn't include any bad surprises.  You are ahead of me in that you got your second Triumph while your chilren are still home.  For me it was as my last of three was leaving home to get married.  But now I am happy to say that my second Triumph TR3 has led to three more Triumphs(2-TR4's and a Stag).  I'm having a great time!!!!  Hope you do also.

No surprises. It's a great car, exactly as described... now sitting in my garage and begging to be worked on.

Photos are on Facebook. You can see them even if you don't have an account:

Thanks John,
It's going well. Slower than I'd like but I've got the frame and front suspension complete. The rear suspension is practically done. Just awaiting a few repairs and then I will reassemble the back and have a rolling frame!

I spend more time over at http://www.triumphspitfire.com/BBS.html and occasionally post photos and updates as triumphtom
