I have a 1969 GT6+ nearing completion and was shocked to find the price of the rear muffler. Over $300 in steel and $600 in stainless. It cannot be that good. I am not hung up on "original" so am looking for a reasonably priced substitute. I  just want a good driver.Has anyone tried anything else?

I just bought and installed an original style one from Victoria British ltd and it seems to be working just fine.  I had a Monza exhaust on before and couldn't take the noise anymore.  The other problem I had was that it was not installed correctly and hung under the car about 2" more than should have.  The new one, that is original fits great, and looks good.
