Hi everyone,

Blake Discher here.  Just thought I'd say hello and say that in the next week or so,  my BRG 76 TR6 should be back on the road.  I cracked the rear crossmember (the one the diff hangs from) while on the America's British Reliability Run two years ago.  I've sourced another one and my good friend Patrick Barber is putting it in for me.  I'll let everyone know how it turns out.  My other Triumph, a 71 Stag is running great.

Cheers.

Glad to hear the Stag is doing well, Blake.  They are sweet cars when they run.

Unfortunately, neither of mine is running at the moment.  The Mallard Blue 71 blew a headgasket on the way home from VTR 2005 ... guess it wasn't quite ready for the 5000 mile round trip AND taking first in class in the autocross  Grin

Since the rings were tired anyway, I decided to take my time doing a full engine rebuild; and bought a second one to use as daily driver while working on the first.  Not a particularly good move on my part ... the second one has been plagued with drivetrain and chassis problems ever since I bought it, and is currently on jackstands waiting to have a new transmission mainshaft installed Real Soon Now.

But, my 56 TR3 is coming along nicely and will hopefully achieve daily driver status in time for Triumphest next month.  The overdrive transmission from the wrecked 59 is in and working, so I'm currently rebuilding the front suspension and adding an interior of sorts.
