Hi everyone.I used to own a 2.5 S Estate in Britain when I lived there. I'd love to own one again as they're fantastic cars and very suited to the wide roads of California. Does ANYONE know  where there may be one for sale  - money isn't the problem  - finding the car is. Will consider from anywhere in the western US (or even further if needed). Please email charlie at 'cwinmill@teksystems.com' with any hints.

You seek the needle in the haystack. I know of a very few 2000/2500 sedans here, but I have never, ever heard of a 2500/2000 estate in the US, not to say that there isn't one somewhere. I would think your best bet would be to buy the car in the UK, or better still in mainland Europe (Belguim, France) where you might find a LHD one and have it shipped here. There was an article not too long ago from Richard Truett in TVT about importing cars. I believe Mr Truett serves as the vehicle consultant for the Dolomite range, so you should be able to find his address right here on VTR.org.

I read that the 2000/2500 estate has become something of a hot property in the UK in recents times, so be prepared to pay a premium for it. Good luck!

Wayne, they are out there...I own one.  No, it's not for sale, but I think I may know another one that is.  I think Vern Catron is looking to sell his:

If anyone's interested in my progress, there's a blog here (long overdue to be updated):  http://2000estate.blogspot.com
