Hey Bob,
The trick this year will be how does one attend the big three?  TRA, VTR & 6PACK?  I want to do it but the problem is that the 6PACK Trials are the weekend before the VTR NATC.  Let's see, 6PACK in NJ, the NATC in CA. OK I could leave NJ Sunday morning pretty early, perhaps the TR8 could get into CA in time for the Judges Skool?

Hey guys, here I am at the TRA National Meeting in Charles Town WVA.   Why am I on the VTR forum, because it's raining cats and dogs out there.  Sill has been an interesting time this morning, there are 80 registrants and the outlook for improvement in the weather is good.  Bruce Clough and Stan Seto have already fixed Clyde's TR3A no charging problem by replacing the generator under the hotel's canopy.  That was interesting and when you see a bonnet popped it is like a magnet for everyone to gather around and BS about TRs.

We are in a new hotel at Charles Town Race Track and the view out our balcony is the actual race track.   There's racing tonight at 7:15 so it should be interesting to see the horse races from this veiw point.  Right down the back strech.   There is a casino on site so there is plenty to do even if it continues to rain.   Still time for everyone to come on down and have some fun.

Cheers

Just came back from a run to Harpers Ferry. We had a guided tour for aaround 35 of us TRA folks, very interesing history there.  Did you know that as long as you keep on the move, a light rain will go right past the windscreen of a TR3 leaving the occupants fairly dry? ;)Only real problem is when you get stopped by a red light and it starts pouring. Cry Bevely was a real trooper and as long as she was wrapped in her VTR blanket she was OK.
The alternative for the rest of the early TR drivers was to put the top up and some actually installed the side curtains. Tongue  That results in a fogged windscreen in around 30 seconds flat.  Especially the TR2's for the side screens have no openings.
Cheers,

Yeah Bob,
Get those sprinklers on in SLO and we can have an early TR Top Erection contest.  Roll Eyes  The 81 plus in attendance had so much fun at TRA that I had no time to post again. We had at least a dozen laps on the main course of Summit Point Race track at a good speed, especially if you laid back and then hurried up to catch the main group.  Smiley

Highlights for me:

On the way to the picnic and welcome party TRA news letter editor Jeff Crupp had a road sign jump out and bite his TR3B smack dab in the middle of it's wide mouth as Jeff was driving a little spirited on wet roads and  took a little off road ride thru the weeds.  Ouch!  Although he was alright and still able to drive the 3B, it was quite a site to see him tooling around with a giant "V" up front.  Sad

Bill Piggot's 10 years of Triumph competition slide show.  Cool

BOS, Concours went to Pat Davis and his black TR2 short door. Pat, I love you man!  Pat earned this one for he had been showing in TRA Concours for at least 5 years and has finally reached the top.  Grin

Cheers,
Darrell
