Grin Hey Folks I am going to say it is going to be a Big One!  The VTR National Convention in Valley Forge,PA hosted by Delaware Valley Triumph's is "LOOKING GOOD"!  Cheesy  Many East Coast Triumph's not seen for some time are registered.  Many of our dedicated Triumph Type Guys are coming from the Midwest Too!  A few are travelling great distances from the Rocky Mountains and the West Coast. What is your excuse not to attend. Huh What if I told you I have a feeling that 300 Triumphs will be there making it the largest VTR Convention in quite some time?  Lips sealed You sure you want to miss this one?  Who is coming on the Forum here.
See You Guys Soon,
Darrell

My excuse is I don't have a damnned car to drive!  Angry

My Stag won't be ready and my TR8 was wrecked in March. I went to look at another Stag last week and I'll be looking at a TR7 on Monday, but my chances of having a Triumph capable of even the short journey from the Jersey Shore to Valley Forge aren't good. There's not much point in registering for the convention and paying those rather high room rates when you don't have a car to drive.  Sad

I will commute up for a day to attend the Stag Club AGM and dinner, the VTR Chapter/Zone/Single Marque luncheon meeting (representing my Chapter) and I would like to spectate at the concours if I can do that without registering. Who knows, maybe I'll find my next Triumph for sale there.

And yes, I was going to offer to judge TR7s and TR8s as I'm an officer in the TR8CCA and I owned a TR8 for 24 years.

Sorry to hear about your Stag.  I had a moment with my TR250 a few days ago when she started breaking up had generally running crappy.  It was very low on gas but a new tank of fresh Sunoco had no effect in improvment.  So I changed the plugs and roto and bingo she came back to her regular old self.  Now I have everything I need: Positive Amps --- Oil Pressure --- Good Temperature --- Gas   That's all I need!  Grin

We could still slip you in as a Judges Consultant for TR7 & 8's.  Look me up on Show Day.
Cheers,
Darrell

Well, I'm happy to say I will be there after all, and barring disaster I will be driving a Triumph. I bought a TR7 out on Long Island about 2 weeks ago and after a few hiccups, it's just about ready to go.

Yesterday while en route to the inlaws the oil pressure switch failed catastrophically and the car dumped all it's oil. Fortunately I saw the oil light flicker on and shut it down immediately. We were flat-bedded home. I took the switch off my Stag (which won't need it for a while) and all is well now.

This car is too good not to put in Concours, so I won't be judging TR7s, that's for sure. Maybe TR8s.

Reality check: I realize now how old TR7s are (and how old I am) when I see a New York "HISTORICAL" license plate on one! Shocked
