Does anyone know a source for an original TR4A shift knob, which was a plain black sphere?  None of the usual suspects carry them, and Revington said they are very rare as they were apparently not too durable.

Thanks!

I occassionally see one come up for bid on eBay. I don't believe anyone is providing an aftermarket version.

I just saw one on ebay that looks like what you describe as the original.  They say it fits a variety of cars including the TR4.  The thread that they quote  sounds correct.  You should look at it.

Hi, I bought a very good original (black round type as per period photos) from Keith at TR Shop London ( http://www.trshop.co.uk/contact.html ).  I have had a number of dealings with this shop and found them competitive on price and good quality.  Best regards, jim

I see new reproductions of the round shift knobs show up on ebay frequently, in fact I got one several months ago.  You can find them by doing a search of "Triumph TR4 Shift Knob".

In fact there is one listed at this moment with the bidding ending at 5:45 PM, 8 Jan 11.  When I got mine the seller had 10 of them.
