My fuel gauge only shown 1/2 tank even when full. Trying to sort out if it is the gauge or sender. Anyone have the sender resistance readings.

my guess is it is the sending unit in the tank, but I do not know any readings you are looking for.  I tried to look but I cant find them anywhere.  good luck!

Dan, Was looking for the min and max resistance for the sender. The tank is near full right now, My thought was, if the resistance is off its the sender. If not its the gauge in the dash.

Thanks for the help

Don, I don't know about resistance readings but try this: remove the sender unit from the tank and push it all the way up. See what happens on the gauge. If it goes to full, then you'll know it's the sender (probably too rusted and not moving properly).
