I have a 67 spitfire and mine does the same thing. I changed the cable with a new one but it still does it. I checked to make sure the cable wasn't binding or kinked, and it is not. It must be my tach is worn out or the distrbuter drive gear may be worn. I would like to have my distributer rebuilt by someone that knows this one very well. Anybody have a name and #?
