This is a nice user-friendly forum but it is SO quite.  How come?  Given that it is actually run by the VTR, why do so few VTR members use this forum I wonder?  Maybe the VTR's newsletter should "advertise" the fact that this forum exists.

And along those same lines why is the VTR's website not kept up to date with new content and why has there been no pictures from the 2008 NATC added?  The VTR is a good size club, I'm surprised that the website's content is not updated on a frequent basis.

Mark,
You are so correct, not very meny members are aware of this page and the opportunity to "chat","Bitch","praise","CONDEMN" and complain about VTR, the leadership but PLEASE no politics or Nancy Pelosi.  Mark, IFFF you have any pictures, pleeese
post them---I for one would like to see them but pleas NO Spit rebuild pics.

Folks, since I got on the "soap box"  how about you? step up and let us hear from you ---what's good or bad about OUR organization.  Please go out and sign up NEW VTR members, take their info and 30 dollars and send in to Bill Lynn.
Here is an idea----how about the so called "official VTR Chapters" forward 50 bucks to the national , once a year---make this a requirement, for the honour of belonging the umbrella organization?  Any ideas input from any VTR MEMBER??  hELLOO, OR AM I shouting into the wilderness like Mosus.  Bill Smith, our esteemed treasurer,  would steady income from chapter dus be NICE???  Bill Lyn, our membership secretary,  would this burden you?  Then finally, our never tiring, ever energetic President
Blake J. Discher of Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.---what are your thoughts on this without bringing up the privacy issue or the homeland security or have to do lengthy studies---shoot from the hip, take charge and lead us out of the darkness like you,
and all your helpers, assistants and elves did --prior, and during the GREAT NATC
meet in IPSYLANTI.  THANKS ONE AND ALL.

Now since I have started to ramble---how about some of you stepping up and let us know what is good, bad or ugly about OUR organization. Let's have a "STAMPEEDE".

Ok wow... I guess maybe there is some other place people talk about our British Toys? I'm new to this site, the forums, blah blah, and so on. I would even say HI! but I've read several posts of people doing just that with 0 or minimal response. I see a lot of people read the original posts, but almost never speak up to offer any assistance, and in the rare case they do, its "refer to XYZ post" or "this has been covered before, do a search". Technology changes, and searches for 4 year old posts may cover what your referring to, but again, there is always new stuff out there. Example: Webber Carb upgrades... sure they were perfect a year or 2 ago, but now, as in very recently, there are people upgrading beyond that 'old hat' tech and into Mikuni and Keihin Japanese Motorcycle carbs.

So, again, if not here, then where are people going to talk about this stuff? NASS? Local Car Cub sites?

As a new forum member I wondered the same thing. I responded to one question before I realized the last post was two months old!

I also started to join VTR online but was intimidated by the very long application form. I hate to fill those things out only to make one small mistake and have to do it all over again. I was just too tired last night to tackle it, maybe later. Having to use paypal is a pain also.

I owned a new TR3 when I was a youngster and now own a TR4 as an old fart!

Well I hope that you join the group or at least join a local group and mix with the rest of us "old farts" that own and love our TR's.  I don't know which I love more to drive the cars or work on them.  But I get to do both so that keeps me happy. We just had a local British car show this last weekend. Enjoyed meeting other TR nuts like myself.  Bet you will be the same way if you get active locally and then VTR has the national meetings and those are great fun when you can get to them.
