I am about to start a frame-on restoration of a TR4A. Body, frame, & floors are in very good shape. Engine ran fine when parked 25 years ago. I am not going for concourse but will kep fairly stock with modern upgrades. These will certainly include suspension, wiring and brakes.  For the wiring, I would like to modernize by removing as much of the old unreliable Lucas parts such as voltage stabilizer, Has anyone used a modern replacement harness such as Painless? Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks.

One can use a new Triumph wiring harness and exclude the voltage regulator by using a alternator and rewiring  to eliminate the regulator.  I did this and the look is very clean.
