This message is for those Triumph or British car owners who would like to have some British plates on their car.

I've been to a few car shows in the past months and also saw on ebay people selling British car plates for big $$$$.

I just want to inform you all that you can purchase "real" British plates directly from a company in the UK that make them for UK registered cars. Because your car isn't for registration in the UK, they can put any text you want on your plates.
(Some restrictions due apply !)

They make these plates in a wide variety of combinations and in plastic and metal.

Note for car buffs: In the UK, for actual registation purposes, cars made before 1972 are considered antiques and can display the black background color plates. Cars made after 1972 can only have for the "modern design".  Because your car isn't being registerd in the UK you can have any color/type you want!

The web address for the company is: http://www.craigsplates.co.uk/

The web site has a lot more details on car plates issued in the UK.

I have no links with this company, only bought one set of their plates (metal/black) for my 1972 TR6.  They were nice quality and arrive in only a couple of weeks after ordering on line. Mine cost about $56 dollars for 2 black metal plates and shipping was about $18 dolarrs (air mail.)

Just thought I'd share this info with the forum members in case anyone out there wants to display British type plate on their car.

I believe Triple C accessories also can supply British plates to one's spec.
