Ahoy

Hi I just signed up for the forum hoping to learn a little more about my recent purchase which was a 1971 Triumph Spitfire. To be quite honest my plan was to part out the car and scrap the rest but when I got it home ideas started brewing. I am still going to part it out but only the parts I dont plan to use when putting it back together.

I bought the car from a older gentlemen who brought the car down from NY, he said he used to race it up there and drove down here to Florida where it has sat for over a decade. The reason for that is because he has had two heart surgery's and his daughter finally convinced him to let it go.

I have some pretty radical plans for the car but I'll probably bring that up later but for now I am parting ways with the motor and transmission and most of the interior pieces because they wont be needed for my endeavor.
