I have recently bought a 1967 TR4A from a man that parked it in his carport 23 years ago, and decided to let me have it.  One of the first things I need to do is install a new fan belt (old one broke and wrapped, but I cut it off).  Any shortcuts I can take to get this done?  At this point, it looks like I have take the fan and pulley off, or lossen engine mounts and slightly raise the engine.  What else can I do?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Sometimes just jacking up the motor will give you the clearance. You can then check for broken motor mounts at the same time.

I am doing the fan belt this this weekend on my 66TR4A. I did have a knowledgeable TR guy tell me the right front mount is prone to break and to replace it before it does so I am going to do both. Seems pretty straight forward but if i run into something I will let you know. We are in a similiar situation, mine sat for 15 years and I bought it Xmas. If i get the carbs together which are on the living room table I may hear the car for the first time this weekend but don't tell my doubting wife, not telling her, just going to rev it up.
