I just replaced the rear springs and shocks on my 74 tr6. When I checked the shocks, by pressing down on the rear fenders, the wheels "pop out" with a distinct noise. The wheel returns to its normal (?!?!) position when releasing the pressure on the fender. I rejacked the car to check the table bushings and while they are worn out there is no slop. Any suggestions? Thank you

Trailing Arm bushings are important and if they have never been renewed it would be time. Very common for there to be frame damage at the T/A mounting brackets up front where they attach to the frame.  Also the rear hub attaches to the trailing arm by 6 studs that have been known to pull out of the aluminum. Then you need to look at he axles to see if the u-joints are in order and everything is tightened properly.  Just a few thoughts.
Hope this helps, Huh
