Hello everyone  Grin !

I'm a new Triumph owner (1968 GT6 MK1). It's drivable and in pretty good shape but the interior needs some TLC.

I don't know a thing about mechanic, so it's a little confusing to read all the technical infos here. I got myself a great book (...I think) for restoring the car It's the one from Haynes with the red Vitesse on the cover. I'm OK with all the regular household work (plumbing, eletricity, carpentry) but I've never worked on cars before. Hope I won't screw up too often !  Cheesy

I'm very impressed by the quality of the VTR site...(got my membership right away !)

(Please excuse my poor english  Embarrassed  ...its not my first language...)

Welcome!  I am a newbie, too.  New to my own Triumph; not new to cars.

You should do well if you really want to.  Just don't be afraid to ask for help.

 Grin Enjoy!

Welcome Louis! Like they said previously, when in doubt, ask questions, it's a lot cheaper & easier than trial & error. Shearching the internet is a darn good source for information, take what you need & leave the rest.

WELCOME! This site is great for asking questions and getting some advice. I have the same book you do and it is pretty good. I found a Haynes manual on amazon too. The books are very helpful but it always helps to utilize the internet too. Good luck!

Welcome aboard, louis. I just bought a '74 Spitfire from an old friend about a year ago and there is a lot of good advice on this site. Good luck.
