Anyone know of a good source for interior parts?  I need a to replace the cracked dash pad, and need some other interior bits... the storage area under the steering wheel, and the chrome bar for the passnger.  (US)

Thanks,
Johnny

Johnny,
Your photo did not come through for me. I own a 65 MK2 and did the interior a few years ago. I found most everything I needed at Spitbits in Lincoln, Ca. Let me know if you need their website or just google it. Dash pads for MK2's are almost impossible to find, I ended up removing everything and letting the dash ledge get painted with the rest of the car, then attach the metal strip that is inside the foam padding to finish off the look. The passenger grab bar is not chrome, it is also padded. I've never seen a new one for sell. once in awhile on ebay or in someones parts box. Where are you located??

I'm in Colorado... just south of Denver.

I think I'll work on getting it running, before I work on the looks.

Here is where I'll get the dash pad from:  Part # 714482

Be very careful. MK1 & 2 dashes are simular, but MK3's are different. When someone advertises one fits all I get nervous. I have heard of folks having all kinds of problems with after market dash covers (warping, not fitting etc.) Before you pay to have it shipped all the way over here, try to find out if someone else has tried that particular part. I've attempted to attach some shots I found that show a bit of my dash configuration.

Thanks for the warning.  I called them about it.  If I get a BAD deal, I will report.  I figure I'll give suppliers a try, and see how it goes.  I'll try "spitbits" as well.
