I just bought a TR8 at the beginning of July and am waiting to get some paper work to register it. I was wondering how many TR8s are surviving? Is there a registry?

I just bought a TR8, too (to keep my TR6 company.) Does anybody out there read this forum?

I will be picking up my first TR-8 this Saturday. I have had a couple of TR-6's over the years but this will be my first TR-8. Looking forward to driving it. I have to transport it from South Carolina to Texas, but will drive it some in S.C. and in Florida where I have to go before heading to Texas. From discussions with the current owner, it needs a speedometer, windshield wipers and seat covers, but I can handle that.

Well, it turns out that my "new" TR-8 needed a lot more than I first stated. So far I have had to change out the trailing arm bushings and link bushings, turn signal switch, wiper switch and motor (still don't work), seats, speedometer, upper steering bushing,shocks and struts, ...and the list goes on and on. Trying to get it ready for a trip from Houston , up the Dragon's tail, wash D.C. and then on to Pa and back to Houston. I think I will make it.

Does anyone know where I can get a speedometer cable...from the transmission to the speedometer? Don't know where the one is that was on the car.
