New here! I come from a background more intensive in Jap and German imports, but my brother just picked up a 66 TR4A IRS for free. It's far from perfect, the body is probably going to have to come off, but the rust is minimal. Hang on, I'm not completely off topic here. Anyways, we got it to crank yesterday with an IV bag of gas connected to the carbs. Ran great, but knocked. No big deal. Now here's the point I was getting to. The car had no battery. I have a 79 Rabbit Diesel that needs a battery. I figured I'd pick up the batt for the Bunny and use it in the TR4 for the weekend. Fit like a charm! It filled the battery tray nicely, and with the posts facing forward, the positive post is pn the driver's side, perfect for connecting to the factory cabling. Mine was something like $59 from Vato Zone, but you may be able to find one cheaper. Just a suggestion for replacement parts. Cheers!
