Hope this is an appropriate post...I'm a newbe to this forum.
I recently purchased a 64 tr4. The valve cover is clearly leaking (among other oil leaks) and I plan on replacing the gasket.  I'm assuming that I would put gasket cement on both sides of the new gasket but I haven't found any instructions on this.
Thanks for your help.

If you have a regular/stock valve cover on your car here is a suggestion.  It is more pricey than the cork gaskets, but it stops the leaking and is reusable over and over and over.  Get a silicone valve cover gasket.  And you use no gasket cement ever!  Check it out at
www.jmwagnersales.com   .  I am using this product on my TR3 and TR4 and love them.
