I cannot be sure of the year of the transmission I have, but I doubt any change. The Moss catalog, fall/winter 2007 shows the same screw on knob from TR2 TS2877 to TR3A TS50000. After brushing the threads on the lever, I find that the 32 pitch thread guage from a tap/die set fits the threads, and that a 7/16 diameter guage will go while a 27/64 will not go. Looks like 7/16-32 to me.

Confirming my 1957 TR3 has a 7/16-32 thread, I purchased a die and it works wonderfully.  good luck
