Hello everyone. Im new here and to these cars. This sounds stupid im sure but, im not sure what i have? I got two cars for doing some work for a woman and my son wants one to drive. So im thinking on a father son project. Im realy into dodges but work on cars for a living. One car was better than the other and diddnt have a motor. So i stripped it for parts for the other one there wasnt much there and it was full of bondo. Also it looked like who ever was working on it befor was doing the same thing. I have been told it was a mg. Also i have been told it was a triumph? Im not sure. On the dash it says spitfire and on the taillights it has the year 65. It looks like a mg motor to me 4cylinder side draft carbs very small engine. There is still some parts that i need for it. And i have parts that i dont need also. That i would trade for something that i do need. But for starters i realy need to know what i have for sure. Any help that i could get, would mean alot to me. Thank you in advance everyone.

Hello,
It's kind of hard to help without photos or a better description. Location can help too if one of us is near by. Spitfires have small engines as do most of our Triumphs compared to what you may be used to with Mopars.

If you can provide commission numbers (VINs) and/or engine numbers, that would be a big help!

Why don't you do a google search of 1965 Triumph Spitfire and also 1965 MG Midget.  This would give you a few pictures.  If the line across the fenders from headlight to taillight is straight, my bet would be a Midget, if it dips down across the door, I would bet Spitfire.  That is, if it is a 65.
