Second place right out of the gate!

« on: December 01, 2007, 11:32:47 PM »

Hello all,
I'm looking for the obscure connection that connects the handle to the linkage rod for the cowl vent, and the same type of connection for the heater flap - demister to floor control. It seems to be some sort of rod stay, but since I don't have one to compare to, I don't know. Anyone know 1) what these connectors look like 2)where I can get them??
Thanks

The part/parts you are looking for fit in three different places.  The two the you are looking for and the third place is at the end of the temperature control cable on top of the engine.  This part is listed in the Moss catalog as-- 473-070 cable stop.  It is comprised of a barrel about one half inch long that is threaded inside.  It has a hole in the side for the cable or solid wire to go through and then it has about a 3/16 inch by one half inch bolt that goes into the threaded barrel.  Oh yes one end of the barrel has a hex head on it, but both ends of the barrel are open.  The bolt goes into the end that has the hex head on it.

Good luck.
