You've come to the right place if you admire the Dolomite sedan,Triumph's stylish and luxurious sporty compact of the '70s.

Although the Dolomite was never offered in North America, it has a following here. Most of that is due to the exciting, high-performance Sprint version. There are about a dozen Dolomites in the United States.

My name is Richard Truett. I have owned three Dolomite Sprints here in North America. Two I privately imported from Great Britain, the other I bought here. I am a member of the Triumph Dolomite Club in Great Britain. If you are thinking of buying a Dolomite, I highly recommend you join that club.

I have done extensive mechanical work on Sprints, plus I have a bunch of spare parts. I also have a TR7 with a Sprint engine. I did the conversion and built the engine myself. So, I can be of assistance to TR7 owners who want more power but who also want to keep a Triumph engine in their TR.

So, if you have any questions about the Sprint or the TR7 Sprint, please ask them here and I will do my best to get it answered for you.

Cheers,
Richard Truett

I recently purchased a 1974 1500TC and I'm the first to put it on the road here in the US (NY).  Does anyone know it a parts company exists in the US for this or know of another 1500TC anywhere in the US?  Thanks, Randy

Randy:

Congrats on your car. I saw it on eBay and I feel like you bought a very solid car.

As for parts, you can use Spitfire engine and transmission parts in most cases.
For trim, electrical and other items, I suggest you get the Rimmers Brothers Catalog. It's free. Go to WWW.Rimmerbros.co.uk
Also: you can find great stuff on the eBay U.K. wesbite. Just type in Triumph Dolomite and you'll see a slew of new and used parts.

Also, and this is a must: Join the Triumph Dolomite Club in Great Britain. Unlike clubs here, the Dolly Club actually sells parts that are specially made for the club.

Hope that helps,
Richard Truett

Richard; Great meeting you at National. We are getting close to finishing the engine on the 16 valve TR7 conversation. But I have a question for you. I ordered and received the exhaust haeder from Rimmers, but I can't see how this thing is going to fit up to any type of standard T7 two hole front header pipe?" Do we have to do any special welding here?
take care
