hi, i just put a motor in 1978 spitfire, and put a fully charged battery in, and turned the key and nothing. There is a bunch of brown wires that have been cut and taped. It looks like they come from the starter solenoid and the alternator and the ignition switch, but i don't know. the car has an allison electronic ignition on it. So anyway, my question is: How does the electronic ignition get wired to the existing ignition? How do i tie in the electronic ignition with the existing wiring? The distributor has a silver, white, and black wire coming from the optic pickup, but i don't know  ???how to wire it. Also the existing wires(the white/slate wires 3 of them) are still there and tied into the ignition switch.Along with the main brown wires. it looks like previous owner was putting electronic ignition in then something happened. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Theres not much info about ignition systems on line. Thank you,pam
