every time i try to change gear its grinding how do i adjust the clutch?

Unfortunately, you don't...as such. Very early 948 Heralds did have some adjustment, but essentially they're self-adjusting. It's somewhat likely, though, that the hydraulic system is to blame. That's the first and easiest (and likely cheapest) thing to check.
