Herald on Top Gear ---

The British TV show Top Gear had a nice segment about building an amphibious vehicle. The challenge was to drive a vehicle quite a few miles to a lake then cross the lake and driver out. The three hosts came up with three totally different ideas. One was a Herald.... with a mast. The car was outfitted to keep water out of the passenger compartment and a rudder was attached to the rear. The Herald did not do a great job of defending the Triumph name ( had to hitch a ride on a flat bed tow truck...) but it did in the end win the challenge and the audience's approval.
