I have a Triumph Tr 4 A IRS. the title says that it is a 1968 car. that is not possible as they where not made then... can anyone tell me what year this thing is?? here are th e numbers that are on it.... under the bonnet on the passenger side there is a plate with the numbers, 78864 CT    on the engine there is (as close as I can make it... OT 78212... and under that on the block deeper embossed is the number B247... so.. what year is it?? by the by.. this car is currently for sale on Ebay.. thank you gentlemen for your help.. JP-

I suppose you could call it a '67. But Triumph continued to "price list" unsold TR4As  into the 1968 calendar year, so your car -- being fairly late -- might well have been retitled as such when finally sold new.

maybe someone can help me? i have what i was told is a 1978 TR8. the s.n. starts with acn and ends with uca five numbers in between. body number is TR39 and the engine number is TR39 i know wern't many produced is it real? the numbers don't match up with any thing i've found! thanks   karl roenfanz ( rosey )
