I am looking for a little help.
New Info!I have owned my 1972 Spitfire since new. The past year it has run OK but after warming up, stalls at stops. It always restarts but stalls again.
Ignition parts have been replaced but has not helped.
Yesterday we drove to Pueblo, Colorado where it is 95+ degrees. The Spitfire stalled and would not restart!
Fuel pump is probably 20 years old. Could it be the fuel pump?
We pushed the car into a service garage and left it. THe mechanic suspects vaporizing of the fuel and a weak pump.
Latest. We replaced the fuel pump. Runs great on hwy.burt suddenly looses power for 10 seconds then refires. What about rebuilding the carb? Ideas?? Thanks. David Horwitz
