I will need to replace the main wiring harness as the original has been cut and spliced a bunch. Who has the best product for this effort. I would like it to be about as plug and play as it can be, and have the color codes match the original diagrams so I can work my way through it all.

Thanks for your help.

If you are looking for a reproduction of the original, then I'd suggest either British Wiring or TRF.  Be sure to tell them the correct year and market for your car, as every year is different, and US market cars are different.

For a quality "improved" harness with added relays & fuses, you might try Advance Auto Wire.  However, their harnesses are somewhat less than "plug and play", as basically you have to cut the wires to length and add all the terminals.  They do use original color codes, but the wire has a definite "modern" appearance to it and thicker insulation than original.

Thanks for the information, I think the newer harness with additional features would be worth the trouble. Will the thicker insulation cause any trouble getting bundles through grommet holes?

I never got around to installing my AAW harness, but from what I've heard, the installation goes pretty easy.  It includes a good reference work with step-by-step instructions, including testing and troubleshooting both during installation and afterward.
