Have a 1971 Tr6. I tried to adjust air flow on carbs and have one that will not react to adjustment. The rear carb is adjusted well but the front carb is running extremely lean.  Any ideas?

Sounds to me like the adjustment screw has come out of the needle carrier, leaving the needle in the full lean position.  You'll probably need to remove the piston from the carb to gently push the carrier into the piston while turning the adjustment; to get it re-engaged.
