I'm just posting to say hello and to mention that driving a TR3 is way more fun than I expected.  My long sports car ownership history has included a bunch of British, German, and Italian cars, but no TR3 until a couple days ago.

I didn't realize what I was missing. These are really a blast to drive.  You all are on to something here.

I look forward to asking questions and getting advice here.

Best regards, Jeff

Nice car, looks like a keeper. Can you tell us about it? Welcome to the forum. Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the welcome.  The TR3B is mostly original paint, mostly original interior 1962, titled as a 1963.  It has 59,000 miles and needs just the right amount of tinkering- nothing too serious-  fluid changes, new hoses.  At least I hope it doesn't get serious...

I've had maybe 10 British cars over the years (no more than two at a time as I can't afford to keep a fleet), AH 3000, Bugeye, couple E types, MGB, TR4 surrey top, GT6, Riley, Silver Cloud Rolls, and I can't remember what all else.  Anyway, the TR3 is nothing like I expected.  I bought the TR3 because I'm a sucker for original survivor cars. However, it is a real blast to drive and as much fun as anything I've had before.  I can't exactly describe it, but the feeling is more like a vintage motorcycle.

Thanks again for the welcome.  Jeff

Hello Jeff.  Welcome to the forum and TR3B-dom.  First, can you give us your Commission Number (are you a TSF or a TCF?)?  As you will soon learn, our B's are not documented very well.  In this context, any photos of your car will be greatly appreciated, particularly engine compartment and interior photos.

DO YOU KNOW HOW "ORIGINAL" YOUR CAR IS?  TCF-series photos are particularly interesting, as they were the last group made (2804 made), and fell into the "anything goes" category.

Again, welcome.  You have many enjoyable days and nights (your headlights work, right?) ahead of you.  Keep us posted on what you are doing.  Also, what area of the country do you hail from?

GAB

P.S.  Folks, I wanted to include a photo with this post, but cannot find out how to do it.  HELP!  HOW DO I POST A PHOTO?

Hi George,

I got lost from this thread somewhere along the way- sorry to respond so late.

This TR3B is TCF2719L.  It is titled as a 1963, I guess because it was built late in 1962?
