Okay...it looks like whoever had that engine out last neglected to put the front lifting eye back on  as well as the back one (makes you wonder how they got the engine back in). Doesn't look like that part is available either.   Would it be okay to put a chain shackle through one of the bolt holes in the front engine plate?

  The lifting eye would have been mounted directly in front of the distributor. There are two bolt holes there.  That may be where you are looking to use the shackle.  That may well work.  Just be cautious not to put to much side stress on the shackle where it could bend the front plate.
