Today while I was driving my ’73 TR6, I noticed at one stop the brake pedal felt soft; it went further towards the floor than usual.  At the next stop I pumped the pedal a little and the pedal felt about right.
When I got home a opened the hood and noticed that there was some brake fluid that had leaked out under the cap on the brake master cylinder.  When I took off the cap to check the fluid level, it was full, but not overly full.
Any ideas why brake fluid would leak out from the cap?  The is a 6 month old master cylinder and front brake pads, fresh brake fluid and bled when the brakes were done. Thanks for any ideas.

Personally, I would be a lot more worried about the low pedal than a small leak from the cap.  However, I suspect they have the same root cause.  There is a vent in the cap that can allow fluid to escape if it is being forced back into the reservoir.

Just a guess, but I suspect your MC is on it's way out.

Make sure the rubber gasket is in place on the cover and that it's screwed on correctly without being cross-threaded. Unless there's something physically wrong with the cap or the reservoir, there shouldn't be a problem.
Check to make sure that the leak is indeed from the cap/reservoir and not somewhere else. There are gaskets between the reservoir and the body of the master cylinder that could leak also.
Also check to make sure it's not the seals inside the master. If so, you'll have to rebuild it, which is not all that hard.
Good luck.
