anyone know if a Mk4/1500 speedo is a direct swap into a Mk3 GT6?

Physically, yes, as they're the same size. But the typical Spitfire speedometer would be calibrated for a 3.89:1 diff., while the typical GT6 speedometer would be calibrated for a 3.27:1 diff.

so if I'm running a Spitfire diff (3.89) then the Spit speedo is a perfect fit!
