I have been pricing insurance on my daily drivers and in the process, Hagerty has come up twice as a good alternative for Insuring my TR6's.  Interested to hear if anyone has had experience (good or bad) with Hagerty.  From what I can find on other forums it sounds very positive.  They will insure for replacement value, they do limit mileage and they won't insure your daily drivers.  They aparently only deal with collector autos.

I have had Hagerty insurance now for several years.  I have only had one claim and it was for a chip in the windshield.  They were very prompt in payment to me, but I did have to pay the glass company up front.  It just worked out better for all that way.

A friend with Hagerty insurance did get rear-ended( they hit him).  Then they later claimed somebody had hit them and it was not really their fault.  Hagerty insured the friends car and took good care of him in repairing/ restoring his car.  I like their rates especially for multiple cars.

As to the mileage limitations that may not be true.  They allow you to drive your car for certain reasons  like club activities with no limit.  So if you were to drive cross country to a VTR meet you would be covered regardless of the distance.  Or at least that is what I and my insurance agent understand from reading the policy.

I have had Hagerty for over 10 years and I'm extremely satisfied with their service. I,unfortunately, have had two accidents (neither my fault) which resulted in over $30K in repairs to one car and over $25K damage to the second. The first was repaired and there was no squabbling over the repair estimate. The second was totaled and the agreed value was sent to me promptly allowing me to buy a replacement vehicle (which is now insured by Hagerty)within weeks of the accident.
I would recommend them.
