Greetings from the Derby City!  Owned my first TR6 back in the early 80's and sold it after the kids were born in 1992.  Bought a pair of 1973 TR6s earlier this year - one restored and one for a project car.  The restored one is original Magenta and my wife affectionatly calls it Barney.  Hope to have the project car fully functional by spring (it is operational but needs some work).  Funny how good I feel after spending a day working on them - blocks everything else from your mind.

If anyone is from the Louisville area give a shout out.

Randy

Congrats on getting your 2 TRs. Is Barney up and running the way you want? I just bought a 73 and hope to pick it soon. If you haven't already done so, can you post some pics and tell us about the retoration? I'll be checking the TR6 threads to see your report. Thanks, Larry

Still need to post some pics but finally got everything on Barney back together.  Was unable to fix the blower (it's been rewired and only has 2 wires coming out instead of 3)so that will be a project for next winter.  Posted a fix to the dimmer switch and just now replaced the carb plugs as one was leaking fuel.  The other TR6 still has a couple of issues to work through but the motor is running again.  Of course, as soon as I got it running, the heater valve sprung a leak so I had to replace that (at least it was easy).  Next is fixing the leak in the clutch master/slave cylinder (have a replacement to install).  Keeps me out of trouble anyway.  Hoping this summer isn't as hot as last so we can get out and drive more.  Unfortunately I missed the British Bash in Louisville again - hope to have both cars out there next year.

Happy motoring!
