As I recall, they are slotted, but I'm not positive. They are available, Moss number 323 315. If they are missing, the head will come right out with the stator tube.

I believe that the three screws you refer to are the ones that keep the control head in place on the column.  They are slotted.  I would bet that you could get replacements for them at a local hardware store.  I see them listed in Moss as part number 323-315 for $1.35 each.  The one difference in the hardware store screws is that the ones in the car have a tapered end and I am guessing that the ones from the hardware store are flat.  You could easily file the ends to a taper.
