Australian Triumph 12/50 Photo Gallery

Here are some additional pictures of the Australian variants of the 12/50:

Although the roof of this car is covered in grey vinyl, this picture clearly shows the early-style roof used on the Australian 12/50 Coup&eacute. On this picture one also can see the AMI badge next to the bonnet catch.

Notice the 12/50 badge on the boot lid is angled like the script Coupé badge on the UK models. Again one can see the early-style smooth roof. The wheel trims fitted here are from a 2000 Mk 1 saloon. These are similar or identical to those fitted to the Vitesse 1600s as well as to some early GT6 models [although usually not to U.S.-spec. models, most all of which were equipped with wire wheels].

This picture was taken just after I had finished rebuilding the motor. In this picture the roof is off and I am sitting in the car with my two daughters (aged 2.25 and 4.5). [At a casual glance, this car could easily be mistaken for a Vitesse 1600!]

This is a picture of the saloon I have. As you can see it needs a lot of work! In this shot you can see the chrome capping on the rear bumper (which isn't on the Coupé) and also the position where the 12/50 badge was horizontal, not sloping upwards like on the Coup&eacute. The saloons were also painted with a different colour for the roof. (My saloon is Wedgwood with a white roof).
